For my next trick!

For my next trick, I thought I’d test out the “featured post” option. It could prove interesting. But then again, would it be as interesting as this stupid dummy copy, which says nothing meaningful? I mean, why should it? It’s just there to mimic the body of a real post — which this most definitely is not. And, to prove it, I will copy and paste this paragraph over and over to look like a post!

Time to test linking

Trying to figure this out.
Let’s find some old DOCTOR WHO content.

This is a test. Do not adjust your set…

Just to test the new trick.

Testing WordPress Posting

Look, it’s an embedded video clip!

Hello, Everyone! (Which really should be no one, as nobody should be interested in this little test blog…

What we have here is an experiment in embedding video. So of course I will use a subject I like: DOCTOR WHO. Have a look at this trailer for this weekend’s SARAH JANE ADVENTURES…

I know, the Doctor isn’t in the clip much at all, but his personality really comes through in just a few words, doesn’t it?

Testing Trackback Tech

This is a post intended to help figure out trackbacks.

To create a trackback to another WordPress blog, I need to include a link, like this one.

I think my confusion stems from the fact there only appears to one explanation on the entire interwebs for trackbacks, and everyone keeps copying it. But the example is flawed, so everyone everywhere keeps repeating the flaw. I mean, it: the explanation doesn’t actually makes sense when you read it. It’s understandable to people who already know how to do trackbacking (because they unconsciously fill in the missing info), but not to people who don’t already know the so-called “common knowledge” steps. The kind of thing that, when pointed out, the person will say,” Oh, that? Everybody knows to do that. I didn’t mention that because everybody knows that.”

Uh, wrong.

Anyway, I seem to have figured it out for myself. So, here goes nothin’…

Hey, kids, you wanna read a really cool post full of filler copy? You do? Well, here it is! I think it’s so cool that I decided to point you toward it.I guess that’s called a trackback.

It’s a test!

The Doctor and Amy

This is a place-holder post so I can test stuff…

It’s Moving Day…

I am changing the address of my WordPress blog. From now on, you can find new entries here, at my new place. I will still be the same Joe, just at a different URL:
http://joediliberto.wordpress.com/

Please change your bookmarks, as this blog won’t be updated with any meaningful content, just some test stuff…
